For the very first Learn With Me, I decided to start with something that’s been sitting on my “I should probably understand this by now” list… Angels.

I know the basics and a few of the most well-known Archangels, but the more I explored the spiritual and personal growth space, the more I realized there was a big gap in my understanding. Angels show up in so many teachings, yet I’d never really stepped back to look at the bigger picture.

I didn’t grow up religious, so this wasn’t something I learned along the way. I also don’t view angels in the traditional winged-being sense. To me, they feel more like forms of energy, guidance, and support rather than a specific image.

Once I started digging in, I learned there are nine levels in the angelic hierarchy. These levels aren’t about rank or importance. They’re about purpose and focus, with each level supporting creation in a different way, from broad universal balance to very personal, everyday guidance.

I learned that we don’t need to work with every level. There’s no spiritual checklist here. Most people naturally connect with their Guardian Angels and the Archangels, and that alone is more than enough for a meaningful relationship. The hierarchy simply helps explain why some guidance feels close and personal, while other messages feel expansive or cosmic.

I foolishly thought this was going to be a one-week Learn With Me. Turns out… it is not. This is a lot of information, so I’m breaking it down into 3 sections over the next 3 weeks so it actually makes sense and doesn’t feel like a spiritual information dump.

The 9 Levels of Angels

 (Traditionally grouped into three choirs)

First Choir: Closest to Divine Source

Seraphim     Cherubim     Thrones

Seraphim

What they are about

Seraphim hold the highest vibration of divine love, unity, and truth. Their role is not to guide or protect in the way we usually think of angels. Their role is to be love itself and keep that frequency flowing through creation.

They are often described as “burning ones,” not because they destroy, but because their energy purifies and transforms.

What they do

• Anchor unconditional love into existence

• Maintain the highest frequency of divine light

• Support deep spiritual transformation on a collective level

How they affect humans

Most people do not consciously interact with Seraphim. When their energy is felt, it usually comes through:

• Profound spiritual awakening

• Moments of total surrender or divine connection

• A sudden sense of unity, oneness, or truth beyond words

This is the kind of experience people describe as life changing, not comforting.

Cherubim

What they are about

Cherubim are guardians of sacred knowledge and spiritual truth. Despite how they are often depicted today, they are not soft or childlike. Their energy is intelligent, protective, and deeply aware. They stand at thresholds. Between realms. Between knowing and forgetting.

What they do

• Protect divine wisdom and sacred truths

• Guard spiritual gateways and transitions

• Help preserve higher knowledge until it is ready to be received

How they affect humans

Cherubim influence moments when insight arrives suddenly and clearly, especially when it feels ancient or deeply familiar.

You might feel their presence during:

• Spiritual study or deep contemplation

• Moments of remembering something you did not learn, but knew

• Crossing a spiritual threshold or entering a new phase of awareness

They do not hand out information casually. Their role is protection, not convenience.

What they are about

Thrones hold the energy of divine justice, balance, and truth. Their role is to help ensure that universal law flows correctly between the spiritual and physical realms.

They are deeply connected to cause and effect, balance, and karmic resolution.

What they do

• Carry divine law into creation

• Maintain balance between realms

• Support justice, fairness, and energetic alignment

How they affect humans

You may feel the influence of Thrones during times when:

• Things are being set right, even if it feels uncomfortable

• Long standing patterns are breaking

• Truth becomes unavoidable

• Karmic lessons come full circle

This energy often shows up during major life recalibrations or collective shifts.

Are we connected to one group more at certain times in our lives?

The First Choir is not random or distant. Their influence becomes stronger at specific moments, even if we are not consciously aware of it.  We are not “connected” to one group of the First Choir in a permanent way. Their influence comes in waves, depending on what stage of growth or correction is happening. These energies often overlap during major life transitions.

Moments of Stronger Connection:

The angels of the First Choir do not interact with us personally, but their energy becomes more noticeable during certain phases of life, growth, and collective change. Each group tends to influence us during different types of experiences.

Seraphim

When their influence is strongest

Seraphim energy is most present during moments of profound spiritual awakening or transformation. These are times when identity, belief systems, or purpose are being reshaped at a core level.

You may feel more connected to Seraphim during:

• Spiritual awakenings or sudden expansions of awareness

• Moments of deep surrender or unconditional love

• Experiences that dissolve ego or separation

• Periods of intense inner purification or release

How it feels

This influence often feels overwhelming, expansive, or deeply emotional. It is less about guidance and more about being immersed in truth or love beyond logic.

What is shifting

Your sense of self, connection, and meaning is changing at a foundational level.

Cherubim

When their influence is strongest

Cherubim energy becomes more noticeable during times of learning, remembering, or crossing spiritual thresholds. This often happens when someone is ready to access deeper wisdom.

You may feel more connected to Cherubim during:

• Periods of intense spiritual study or contemplation

• Moments of sudden insight or deep knowing

• Transitions between spiritual phases

• Times when hidden truth comes into awareness

How it feels

This influence feels clarifying, focused, and mentally sharp. There is often a sense of “remembering” rather than learning something new.

What is shifting

Your understanding, perception, and awareness are expanding.

Thrones

When their influence is strongest

Thrones energy is most present during periods of karmic balancing, ethical clarity, and major life recalibration. These moments often feel unavoidable.

You may feel more connected to Thrones during:

• Times when patterns are ending or being corrected

• Moments when truth becomes unavoidable

• Periods of karmic resolution or justice

• Collective or personal realignment

How it feels

This influence can feel uncomfortable but stabilizing. There is a strong sense that things are being set right, even if it challenges comfort.

What is shifting

Your alignment with truth, balance, and integrity is being restored.

Important Perspective

We are not “connected” to one group of the First Choir in a permanent way. Their influence comes in waves, depending on what stage of growth or correction is happening.

• Seraphim influence transformation of the heart and soul

• Cherubim influence transformation of awareness

• Thrones influence transformation of alignment and truth

These energies often overlap during major life transitions.

2. When should I realize Choir 1 may be assisting me?

If the experience feels BIG and unavoidable you are likely in the influence of Choir 1.

Signs:

• Life is recalibrating at a deep level

• Old patterns collapse without effort

• Truth becomes unavoidable

• There is very little “choice” involved
