Finding Your Tribe When You Just Woke Up

(And Everyone Around You Is Still Asleep)

Where You Realize You Are the Only One Awake at the Party

There is a specific kind of lonely that comes with waking up spiritually while everyone around you is still hitting snooze. You start seeing everything differently. The way you talk, the things you care about, even the way you spend your Saturday nights, all of it starts to shift. And you look around at the people who have known you for years, the ones who used to get every reference and every mood, and suddenly there is this strange gap between you. Not because anything is wrong with them. Just because you are somewhere they are not yet, and there is no explaining that over brunch. It can feel isolating in a very specific way. Not the kind of lonely where you have no one to talk to. The kind where you have people to talk to, but nobody who quite gets what you are talking about.

Waking up alone in a room full of people who love you is still waking up alone.

Going Online and Realizing Everyone Is on a Different Level

So naturally, you turn to the internet. This is where most of us end up first, because the internet does not care what time zone your soul is in. And here is the thing nobody tells you going in. Everyone online is at a different stage of their own path. You will find creators who are so far into their awakening that they sound like they are speaking a language you have not learned yet. Sometimes it even sounds a little unhinged at first. Crystals talking to them, past life memories dropping in mid grocery run, full conversations with spirit guides like they are catching up with an old coworker. Your first reaction might honestly be, okay, that person needs a nap. And then, weeks or months later, something happens. You have grown a little. You revisit that same content and think, wait a minute, that actually makes a lot of sense now. It did not get less strange. You got less new. This is normal. This is actually kind of the whole process. You are not going to vibe with everyone at every stage, and that does not mean either of you is doing it wrong.

Sometimes the wisdom was never too far out there. You just had not caught up to it yet.

A Word on the Ones Who Say There Is Only One Way

You will also come across creators and authors who insist their way is the only way. The only path, the only method, the only truth, take it or leave the whole spiritual thing entirely.

Gentle reminder. Nobody has the whole map. Not them, not me, not the person with the most followers or the fanciest looking altar. Spirituality is not a franchise with one correct location. If someone is positioning themselves as the guru and framing every other approach as wrong, that is worth noticing.

Looking Out for Yourself Along the Way

Since discernment matters so much here, a few things worth checking in on as you go looking for your people.

Trust what actually feels good to you. Not what sounds impressive. Not what looks spiritual enough. What genuinely feels right in your body when you read it or hear it.

Remember there are levels, and yours is valid. You do not have to be fluent in astral projection to belong here. Find your actual level, not the one you think you should be at.

Watch out for anyone claiming to be the only way. A real guide points you back to yourself. They do not need you to need them.

Look for people who let you be you. The right voices in this space will make room for your version of this path, not try to hand you theirs.

Take the comments section with a grain of salt. So much of it is negativity dressed up as opinion, and that is exactly the energy we are trying to move away from.

You are allowed to be picky about who gets a seat at your table, especially this table.

When You Outgrow Someone (And That Is Allowed)

Here is something that catches a lot of people off guard. You might love someone's content for months. Really resonate with it, feel like they get you, maybe even feel a little sad imagining not following them anymore. And then one day, out of nowhere, something they say lands differently. You think, wait a minute, I do not feel good about this anymore. That is allowed. That is not you being fickle or dramatic. That is you growing. One person's journey was never meant to be your exact journey, so it makes total sense that a voice that once matched your frequency might eventually stop matching it. Listen, think it over, keep what is useful, and let the rest go without guilt.

Outgrowing someone's content is not a betrayal. It is proof you are actually doing the work.

Where This Leaves Us

I write about my own path here, the importance of meditation, the Reiki practice I am building, the intuition I am learning to trust, and whatever else feels worth sharing along the way. None of it is meant to be the only way. Take what resonates. I know that phrase gets thrown around constantly, but it is genuinely the whole point. Read it, sit with it, and only keep what actually feels true for you. And believe it or not, I am still looking for my tribe too. This is something I struggle with more than I probably let on, and the more I find that there is no one to talk about it, the more I am starting to think most of us are in the same boat. We just do not say it out loud. Your tribe is out there. It might take longer to find than you would like, and it might not look like what you pictured. But it is there.
