Movement Meditation
What it is
Movement meditation is a mindful practice where you use gentle, intentional motion to calm the mind, soften the body, and reconnect with your energy. Instead of sitting still, you let the body guide you into presence through slow flowing movements and conscious breath.
Why it helps
Releases stuck or stagnant energy Grounds you into your body and the present moment Helps regulate the nervous system Supports emotional balance and clarity Ideal for anyone who struggles to sit still Creates a natural rhythm between breath, body, and awareness
Meditation
Begin standing with your feet hip width apart. Let your knees soften.
Take a slow breath in and a long breath out.
On your next inhale, slowly lift your arms up like you are gathering light.
Exhale and let your arms float back down.
Move slowly and follow the breath.
Sway gently side to side. Imagine your energy loosening and opening.
Let the movement be smooth and effortless.
Roll your shoulders back. Let your spine lengthen.
Take three slow breaths as you feel your feet grounding into the earth.
Place one hand on your heart and one on your lower belly.
Inhale light. Exhale release.
Finish by bowing your head slightly in gratitude for your body and the clarity it carries.
